Which AI models are compatible with SmartSearchWP?

This is an FAQ entry for the WordPress chatGPT SmartSearchWP plugin.

SmartSearchWP works exclusively with the OpenAI API, using your own API key.

Which OpenAI models? #

The General Settings menu displays the models that your key provides access to, retrieved directly from your OpenAI account. When OpenAI releases a new model and your account has access to it, it appears in the list. For each model, SmartSearchWP displays its context size, estimated cost, and a recommendation.

Gemini, Claude, Mistral, Llama, or a local LLM? #

Not yet. Support for other AI providers is planned for a future update to the plugin; it will be announced on smartsearchwp.com and in the newsletter.
