How do I get the extension?

The Custom Post Type & ACF Addon is a paid extension to the SmartSearchWP plugin. This addon is available in the addon catalog in the plugin’s submenus. To stand out from the crowd, this one has a different color from the basic one.

Access to the extension ?

Once the plugin has been activated, a new sub-menu appears in the “SmartSearchWP” section of the administration page, called “Custom type manager”.
This sub-menu should appear just after the Extensions (or Addons) category.

Optimize Your WordPress Site with Custom Content Types

Custom Post Types (CPT) allow you to add specific types of content to your WordPress site, such as portfolios, testimonials, or custom field content (ACF). Thanks to SmartSearchWP, you can now extend the search capabilities of SmartSearchWP on your site to include this ultra-personalized content, offering an enriched, tailor-made user experience.

Once on the ACF addon settings page, you have several options:

Use custom content types and ACF field content to generate responses

Choose the custom content types, including ACF fields, that you wish to integrate into the context of responses. AI will consider new post types or custom fields for its response context.

These types of personalized content may come from ACF or from other plugins you may have installed on your site.

For example, the BetterDocs FAQ plugin creates custom post types. You can find these custom post types in the “Post types” section of the addon and select them. Once selected, you’ll find these post types in the “Contexts” section. In the case of the BetterDocs FAQ, you’ll be able to include content created via the Betterdocs plugin in your contexts.

It is not possible to test all plugins for compatibility. To find out whether your plugin is compatible with SmartSearchWP, your plugin must create custom post types.
